Top 3 DIY Life Hacks for a Cheap (Luxury) Vacation

Vacation Home
How is it possible to still have a luxury vacation after the airline tickets are purchased? The tickets will be the only expensive part of the trip following the guide below.

1. Think Vacation Rental instead of Hotel Room.
People all over the world rent out their vacation homes when they aren't using them. Vacation homes are a great value for quite a few reasons. With a vacation home you get a full kitchen. And a lot of the time these homes are condo's located in the middle of luxury resorts. So instead of paying for just a room, a vacation home offers the run of the house. A vacation home in a resort often includes special access to golf courses, swimming pools, marinas and any other amenity offered to the owners. Just make sure to discuss this with the owner before you rent to find out what is included.

2. Get Groceries and cook some fresh, delicious, non-rushed fun meals.
No matter where you are staying, fresh local cuisine is part of the vacation experience. And it doesn't have to be spent on someone else's schedule in an expensive restaurant. Head down to the vacation spot's local open air market or grocery store and grill out.

3. Choose where to stay by location, within walking distance to attractions or bus service.
Do a bit of research before going. Find out if the timeshare, condo or vacation home is within walking distance of a market or grocery store. Or if there is at least bus service to nearby attractions. No rental car needed means saving a huge chunk of change on gas and tranportation to entertainment.

The sites listed below have always been my favorite resources to find rentals online:

vacation rental.
