Keep Your Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165 Netbook from Becoming a Doorstop

iGo PS00127-2007 Netbook Wall AdapterMy Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165 Netbook was completely unusable for about 3 months. I surmised it was either a problem with the power adapter or the power jack itself. I had moved to a new apartment and was using my netbook in a different spot. I wasn't used to sitting where I was and got up too quickly accidentally jerking the power cord quite hard. After that, my netbook wouldn't charge up with the power adapter anymore.

Luckily, I discovered it wasn't the larger problem of the power jack itself. I just needed a replacement power adapter. I found this out because a friend came over with their slightly newer Acer Aspire Netbook and had a replacement power adapter called the iGo PS00127-2007 Netbook Wall Adapter. On a whim, I dusted off my beloved blue Acer doorstop and plugged in their iGo adapter. Much to my surprise and relief, my netbook registered a power connection right away and booted up.

Mind you, the connection is still a bit dicey. I have to visually check often that the icon in the lower right shows a charging connection instead running on battery power. It seems the jerk I gave my netbook months ago has made the power connection intermittent. But the good news is my netbook is no longer a better doorstop than a computer. The iGo PS00127-2007 Netbook Wall adapter comes with several different tips to try on several different kinds of netbooks. The 206 tip fits the Acer Aspire One AOD250-1165 Netbook perfectly.
